Here you see a preliminary version of the Étoile doily. The plan was to create a set of these, increasing in diameter from small to large, which I did: I have it now in three sizes. The doily employs long picots in most rounds, and pearl tatting in the last round. The last round throws off rings on both sides, and meanders around these rings. This one uses DMC Cordonnet Spécial No. 80.
