Butterfly Garden oval doily

This is a large oval doily that I've tatted in 2003. I was playing with the idea of creating a sampler, that incorporates a large number of different tatting stitches. The doily grew much larger than I had anticipated. It it is 84 cm long and 44 cm wide (almost 34 by 18 inch). It is done in DMC Cebella No. 40. It features the following tatting techniques:

• Regular elements like:
  • Ring;
  • Chain;
  • Picot;
• Long picots;
• Onion ring;
• Plain net stitch (also called mignonette stitch)
• Honeycomb net stitch (a variation of it, containing josephine knots);
• Josephine knot;
• Spiral stitch;
• Cluny leaves;
• Needle lace fillings;
• Two shuttle split ring;
• One shuttle split ring.
